The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals’ – SMRP 2017 conference website states it will focus on accelerating the value and importance of maintenance and reliability programs while effectively managing equipment and facility risk. SMRP’s 25th Annual Conference also includes numerous educational sessions that are user, business, and industry oriented, several facility tours of nearby maintenance and reliability facilities, dozens of intensive workshops, as well as a number of networking and knowledge-sharing events. The education tracks are divided among SMRP’s five Bodies of Knowledge and are directly applicable to all aspects of an attendees work:
- Business & Management
- Manufacturing Process Reliability
- Equipment Reliability
- Organization and Leadership
- Work Management
- Asset Management
The social events SMRP has organized provide the opportunity for me to network with others in the industry, discuss challenges, opportunities and insights as well as expand my network with both domestic and international M&R professionals. As always, SMRP will be holding CMRP and CMRT exams offering the opportunity to become certified at the conference. The workshops and track sessions can be applied towards my recertification.
